To give at least 24hours notice of cancellation of a booking. You are liable to pay a casual member's rate for your place should you not turn up or give reasonable notice of cancellation. General Points
-
We have a large lost property department. Please report any lost property you lose on the premises, you will be surprised what we find. Our policy is to keep goods for 4 weeks before either giving them to charity or throwing them away.
-
Smoking is not permitted in any area of the club. The exception is the lounge, but not until after 19:00pm.
-
In the interests of hygiene, other than guide dogs, no pets are allowed in the club. Guide dogs are not permitted in the swimming pool area.
-
We cannot accept liability for any accidents incurred or goods either stolen or damaged (including cars in the car park) unless we have been negligent.
-
The swimming pool does not have a lifeguard in attendance. Accordingly we have agreed with the Health and Safety Executive that we shall make every attempt to ensure a safe environment by banning those activities most likely to cause an accident. Running, diving and jumping are therefore strictly forbidden. Furthermore, other than essential swimming aids, both foam shapes and inflatables are not allowed. The only exception being during swimming lessons and pre-booked parties. On a point of general hygiene, please shower before bathing.
-
For safety reasons we do not allow glasses to leave the bar area. Plastic cups are provided free of charge.
-
You are responsible for your own physical condition. You must contact an instructor if at any time you feel faint or suffer unusual symptoms, which give reason for you to believe that all is not well. You must also tell the instructor should you have an accident or develop a medical condition likely to affect your training programme. Please help us to help you.
-
Management reserve the right to change, add to and delete rules as they see fit. Such actions will be published in newsletters, notice boards around the club and on the web site.
