Fort Stamford Health and Fitness is located in Plymouth nr Mount Batten . It has ample FREE parking and is a friendly family orientated club. At Fort Stamford we offer exceptional, leisure and fitness facilities. The gym is Air conditioned and for your entertainment, televisions show a variety of programs and are linked to headphone points on the exercise machines, enabling you to listen as well as watch. The gym is well equipped which means that you rarely have to wait for machines to become available, even at the busiest of times.

We look after our members, we do not take your money, set a programme and wave goodbye. Our instructors will initially perform a comprehensive appraisal of your general health with a series of tests, introduce to you equipment in the gym and write a suitable programme for you to follow. We will regularly review and modify your programme and where necessary reassess your general health, free of charge. We know that this is the best way to keep you motivated and help you achieve your initial goals.

We are not just a gym. We offer over 25 exercise classes per week in an our Air conditioned studio (without mirrors), we are Plymouth 's biggest Squash Centre, and we are also able to offer table tennis, tennis, and crèche facilities. Our Tone Zone enables you to tone your body without physical exertion and improve your flexibility and range of movement. At Fort Stamford Health and Fitness we even have a Swimming Pool.

We believe that we are experts at Health, Fitness and Leisure and that our gym is, in our opinion, the finest, friendliest and best value for money fitness gym in the area. Members and non members can sit and relax in our licensed bar and lounge area, watch our wide screen television or watch their children as they play in the fun fort. We offer a choice of beers, lagers, soft drinks, and tea, coffee, confectionary and bar snacks/meals.
